About TON Accounts
An account on TON (The Open Network) refers to a fundamental element that holds information about users and smart contracts within the network. TON does not distinguish between accounts, addresses and contracts – they are all the same.
Each account can have an associated balance in TON Coins, some associated code (the contract), and associated data. The data is, for example, used to store the current owner of an NFT, or any other information. Personal accounts typically have a wallet contract that allows standard wallet operations.
