About TON Validation

Validation on the TON Network refers to the process of confirming and verifying transactions or blocks on the blockchain. Validators are nodes in the network responsible for ensuring the accuracy and security of the blockchain by validating transactions and adding them to the blockchain ledger.

Validation is doing in cycles, each lasting around 18 hours. A smart contract known as the elector will decide which validators get to take part in each round. TON is based on proof-of-stake as opposed to proof-of-work, and validation is the way people who stake their TON Coins earn a return by taking part in validation cycles. The elector will pay out a certain reward shared between all validators of each cycle.
